Student Council elections are held in the fall of each year in early October. Representatives from grades five through eight and officers are chosen by each grade. The student council has meetings twice a month and works on school activites and community outreach projects.
Martin Luther has a bell choir as an afterschool extracurricular program. Grades four through eight may participate. Practices are held on Wednesdays from 3:15 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Luther Academy of Music provides opportunities for individual violin, voice, piano and guitar lessons with reputable teachers. The lessons can be scheduled during the school day or before or after school. A recital by academy students is held twice a year.
Sports programs through grade six are done in conjunction with the Bismarck Parks and Recreation District or other independent organizations. Students from Martin Luther School can play together on a team with another school. The jr. high sports programs are available through each student's local Jr. High School district unless you live in Mandan. Please contact the school office if you live in Mandan. Parents need to contact the school in early summer to find out when all tryouts and practices occur.
